ABOUT LESLIE CAROLINE PHOTOGRAPHY

Leslie Caroline has been a photographer for more than 33 years. She began her professional career in 1981 when she began working for Gannett Newspaper and the Washington Times UN office later, for the Associated Press Newswire. She has covered two wars as a photojournalist. She was posted to Germany during Desert Storm operation in the Middle East in the early 1990’s and she documented the fall of Yugoslavia, and then the war is Bosnia in 1993-94. Her photos have been published in newspapers, magazines, and books around the world. Her love for photography and her willingness to cover dangerous assignments was driven by her desire, as she puts it, to capture history and to document it for the future. “A picture can say more than words,” explains Leslie Caroline, “You can read a picture in any language. You don’t have to speak the same language to understand the emotional impact the image.” She also photographed the visit of Pope Jean Paul II when he came to New York, along with President Clinton, Cuba’s dictator Fidel Castro and many other political luminaries. Apart from her photojournalism, Leslie Caroline has also done fashion and advertising photography mostly in New York City. In addition, she worked as a portrait photographer for IBM and did corporate photography for annual reports. She has also done portraits of television celebrities and has worked for several magazines including People, New York Magazine, and Cosmopolitan. Since 1995, Leslie Caroline has concentrated mostly n wedding photography. Such companies have published her wedding photos as Harper Collins Publishing. Leslie Caroline Currently resides in Pitman where she has lived since 2007 with her two children.
